Amy Winehouse, Amy Jade Winehouse (14 September 1983 – 23 July 2011) was an English singer, songwriter, and musician. With over 30 million records sold worldwide, she is known for her deep, expressive contralto vocals and her eclectic mix of musical genres, including soul, rhythm and blues, reggae, and jazz.


Notes About the Card: This Amy Winehouse card, is to our knowledge, the first card ever produced of her. This card was released / published the week of July 10, 2007 in Bravo Romania Nr. 14.
 
Card Size: Card measures approx. 2 3/8" X 3 1/8" - 6 cm X 8 cm.

Brand & Set Notes: Bravo Star Cards (branded by the Brifcor soft drink) were distributed in issues of the Romanian bi-weekly teen Magazine Bravo. They were produced in playing card format with 2 Jokers. 54 playing cards in all. The cards were placed in a small re-sealable polybag and were inserted by suit, into issues 14-17 in 2007.

 

Rarity: Romanian Bravo Star Cards of more relevant talent have become extremely rare and hard to find. Due to the fragile nature of these cards, they are rarely found in NM or better condition. Earlier cards of artists have become the hardest to find and most sought after, due to market impact of "rookie" collectors. The rarity of this particular card cannot be understated. The ever-decreasing Romanian Bravo magazine circulation in 2007 was in decline due to the increased use of the internet. Finding examples of this card has become extremely difficult to almost non-existent.
