1967 Track Record U.K. Promo Card The Jimi Hendrix Experience Blank Back B&W

This exciting promo card was produced by Track Record, (a.k.a. Track Records) from the U.K. and distributed by them in 1967. This is a truly iconic early piece of Jimi Hendrix history. The career of The Jimi Hendrix Experience (Jimi Hendrix, Noel Redding, Mitch Mitchell) was launched by the British record label Track Record. They signed Jimi Hendrix and his band in 1966. Track Record was co-founded by Kit Lambert and Chris Stamp, then managers of the Rock group The Who. They played a crucial role in promoting the band's music and Hendrix's iconic style. Hendrix' first single "Hey Joe" was intended for release by Track, but since the label was not yet fully in operation it was first released in the United Kingdom on Polydor in December 1966. His second single "Purple Haze", released on 17 March 1967, was the first Track Records single and "Are You Experienced" was the first LP. This promo card was produced to help promote the band as well as their new album "Are You Experienced".

This card would be perfect for creating a Hendrix matted and framed collage and would look great mounted alongside one of your Jimi Hendrix autographs, or even mounted alongside one of his early records you have collected. This would make a perfect high-end gift for any Hendrix collector.

Promo card measures approx. 9.5 cm X 15 cm. - 3 5/8" X 5 7/8" Slightly smaller than an American 4x6 post card.

This is a raw card, meaning, it is not graded. Most raw cards offered by cardboardportfolio will be in NM condition or better. Some cards may have light scratches or abrasions, fuzzy corners, foxing or be off center. Use the provided photographs to assess overall card condition. PSA, Beckett and SGC do not currently grade this card.

Brand & Set Notes: This black and white promo card was distributed by Track Record U.K in 1967 to promote The Jimi Hendrix Experience album. It is not autographed. There were a handful of different Hendrix and Hendrix Experience promo cards in 1967. This particular one is the promo with the blank back and no border on the front. There was also a similar promo produced that used the same image with a white border on the front and a list of Hendrix songs on the back. There were also a few other promo cards using different images.

Condition Notes: no damage, flaws or condition issues, excellent condition

Our common practice is to not list raw cards with major flaws, unless it is a card of high prominence or a key card within a set.

Raw cards listed with major condition flaws will have those flaws noted above in the condition notes.

Shipping:  Domestic shipping is via USPS with tracking and is calculated on the first card. Each additional card in the same order is $1 additional. All orders are shipped by the next business day.

A few tips about making offers to cardboardportfolio.

The prices you see on the cardboardportfolio listings, are set through our own process of price discovery stemming from many different pricing factors, all in an effort, to come up with a competitive market price our cards will actually sell at.  It may be difficult for you to comp some of our rare and high-grade items. Often, this is because the item you are interested in is either very rare or may even be the highest ever graded card of that type, and there is nothing to compare it to. Only you can decide whether you feel our item is worth the price being asked, and only you can decide whether it is time to dish out your hard-earned money to take ownership of it.

If you see a card you’re ready to buy and want to get it before someone else does, simply buy the card, pay for the card and your carefully packaged card will be in the mail by the next business day.

Pro Tip: If we have a card you'd really like to own, and you wouldn’t be crushed if you missed out on it, make an offer at a lower price. Once we receive your offer, we'll consider the offer based on all factors that help us determine if selling the card at that price is good for all parties. Then, one of 3 things will happen. We will either accept your offer, decline your offer or counter your offer with a price we would be willing to settle for.

Pro Tip: When considering the price you want to offer, please keep in mind, almost all offers asking us to reduce a single card by more than 25% are declined as soon as we see them. If we could sell our cards at 25% less, we would not only be magicians, but we would also price them lower from the onset to create faster cash flow. Faster cash flow gets us into our next great deal that much sooner. Many of our cards have a bit of wiggle room, some of our cards have almost no wiggle room. A few of them are already a loss at the price we have them marked at.

Pro Tip: If you are interested in more than 1 card, contact us via the message system and let us know which cards you want and how much you are offering for the lot. If we can come to an agreement, a private multi-card listing can be quickly set up so you can make your purchase. Remember buying a small lot or a group of cards in one transaction gives you more buying power and spreads the shipping fee out as well.

Whether you are buying a $10 card or a $1,000 card, we take your transaction very seriously and respect your time. Good luck with your collecting, we’d love to be a part of it!

  • Sales on Trading Cards are Always Final
